New arrival! Independent Voices digital collection



Independent Voices is a digital collection of alternative press newspapers, magazines and journals, drawn from the special collections of participating libraries. These periodicals were produced by feminists, dissident GIs, campus radicals, Native Americans, anti-war activists, Black Power advocates, Hispanics, LGBT activists, the extreme right-wing press and alternative literary magazines during the latter half of the 20th century.

Independent Voices is a work in progress. This collection currently contains 13,484 issues comprising 415,789 pages. Browse by series (e.g. Black American, Campus Underground, Feminist, LGBT), by title or by date.

Global Barometer Surveys

Global barometer surveys is the first comprehensive effort to measure, at a mass level, the current social, political, and economic atmosphere around the world. It provides an independent, non partisan, multidisciplinary view of public opinion on a range of policy-relevant issues.
