Help us spend £50,000 on new books

Are you a student at the University? We've set aside a whopping £50,000 for new books, and we need your help to spend it.

From 9am on Monday 22 February, you can fill in an online form telling us which books you think we should buy. The form is for ordering new titles. If you think we need more copies of a current title, let us know via the Get It tab on StarPlus.

We’re expecting the cash to go fast – so act quickly! Find out more about our My Books campaign and get spending.

My Books - Books Chosen by You!

You said you wanted more books, and we listened.

The library has secured £50,000 to spend on extra copies and new titles for our students.

From your feedback we know that you would like more books in the Library and from Monday, 2nd February you will be able to choose new titles or order extra copies.

You can order extra copies by logging into StarPlus and using the "University Collections" search to find a title. From the "Get it" tab you can click "My Books - Books Chosen by You" to place a request.

New titles can be ordered using our online form available from the My Books web page - www.sheffield.ac.uk/mybooks

If possible we will buy the e-version of a title so that as many students as possible can access the resource. We will also purchase the latest edition available.

The money may go quickly, and we’ll keep you up-to-date of the expenditure. More information and FAQs can be found on the Library web pages - MyBooks
